Exploring Our "Why SoCo" Series - Highlights for Planning Your Perfect Birthday or Event

Planning a memorable event means paying attention to every detail that makes the experience unique and enjoyable. This week, I shared a series of posts called "Why SoCo," focusing on the special features that set South County Party Co apart from other kids' party venues. From our prep space to the interactive game wall, photo booth, and unique craft birthday party packages, each element plays a role in creating a fun and seamless celebration. This post expands on those highlights and offers a deeper look into what we provide for birthdays, showers, and private events to help you plan your perfect gathering.

Prepping the Space: Where Your Event Begin

The foundation of any great event is a well-organized, welcoming space. Our studio features a prep area designed to make setup easy and stress-free. South County Party Co. prepares the studio by arranging all included tables and seating, any activity or craft stations, and other custom enhancements you select. This means when you arrive, much of the work is already done, allowing you to focus on the fun parts of your event.

Clients can bring their own decorations, food and drinks and gain access the space 15 minutes (birthdays)/30 minutes (showers/events) before the event starts, for light decorating and setup. This window gives you time to add personal touches without feeling rushed. Just keep in mind that all decorations must be installed and removed within the event’s preparation and departure times and agreed contract terms. Our staff handles the setup of included items but does not install personal décor beyond your package (but are there to lend a helping hand if needed).

The preparation area features a large sink (please avoid disposing of food in the drain), countertop space, a mid-size refrigerator, and some glassware serving dishes available for use at no extra charge. Additionally, there is a storage area for personal items.

You have 15 minutes after your event ends for departure to take away all items you brought, such as gifts, decorations, and any leftover food or drinks. Kindly place empty glassware on the counter for us to clean and ensure all trash is placed in the bins for disposal. Any significant damage will result in cleaning fees. Your set-up window and departure window do not count against your base party time. Your event time is 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or longer based on your add-on selections.

The Photo Booth: Capture Every Moment with Style

A standout feature at South County Party Co. is our photo booth. It’s not just for taking pictures; it’s a way to create cherished memories with friends and family. For birthdays and other occasions, we provide a custom photo booth template that matches your event’s theme or style. This personalized touch guarantees your guests have fun and leave with keepsakes that remind them of your special day. You can print up to 25 4x6 photos on-site, and the event host will receive a digital link with all the event photos. Additional prints can be ordered if needed. Interactive Game Wall: Fun for All Ages

Our interactive game wall adds an exciting element to any event. It’s designed to engage guests of all ages with games and activities that encourage participation and interaction with each other. This feature works especially well for showers and birthday parties, where guests can mingle and enjoy lighthearted competition.

The game wall is part of the studio’s standard setup, so it’s ready to go when you arrive. It’s a great way to break the ice and jitters before a birthday craft, or to keep up energy levels throughout your celebration.

Birthday Party Packages: Personal Touches

At South County Party Co., birthdays are all about making the day feel unique and personalized for the guest of honor. In addition to a custom photo booth template, you'll receive a brief questionnaire before your event to help choose your music preferences and ensure all other needs are met and questions are answered. We tailor the entire event to your requirements...if you'd like to open presents on-site, we'll plan for that (and suggest adding 30 minutes to your event). We'll assist in keeping the kids entertained with a game wall icebreaker, an hour of event/crafting guided instruction, and 30 minutes for photo booth fun, cake, and other activities as needed. The base package includes 8 kids, but you can add up to 12 (contact us if you need more than 12 kids).

Showers and Private Events: Thoughtful Details

For baby and wedding showers, crafts are an added highlight you may choose to include in your event. We set up dedicated activity stations where guests can create keepsakes or enjoy themed projects. This adds a personal and interactive element to your event.

South County Party Co. offers private use of the studio during your scheduled time, ensuring your event feels exclusive and comfortable. We provide:

• Seating for 30 guests

• Tables for gifts, cake, and food

• Kitchenette access (refrigerator and sink)

• Basic photo backdrop

• Interactive wall

• Event host for guided instruction on selected shower add-ons

• Setup and cleanup handled by staff

  
  

You get a 30-minute early arrival window for light decorating and food setup, plus a 15-minute exit window for cleanup and personal item removal. This structure helps keep your event running smoothly from start to finish.

Our staff is available to guide you through any add-ons you select, especially for showers where crafts and activities need facilitation.
