Planning a memorable birthday party that combines creativity, fun, and ease can be a challenge. Our birthday craft package is designed to take the stress out of party planning while offering a unique and engaging experience for kids and their friends. Each package includes a hands-on craft (selected at booking by the host), time to play with the interactive game wall, and a digital photo booth to capture photos with family, friends, and finished crafts, of course! In this post, we will walk you through the four distinct craft themes we offer, explain how each party flows, and expand on details about our facilities and add-ons.
Four Different Birthday Craft Themes
We offer four unique craft projects, each with its own theme and creative focus. Each result in a tangible take-home creation for kiddos to show off and enjoy for more than just one day!
SoCo Adoption Co
Kids will pick (adopt) their animal and select their party hat. They will decorate their new pet’s house. We will make it official with an adoption ceremony & certificate. Then they take their new friend home!
These aren't cheap stuffies. Every animal in our adoption yard is a real Beanie Baby… thrifted, recycled, one-of-a-kind, and ready for their forever home. No two parties have the same selection.
Once we settle in at the craft table, SoCo hosts walk everyone through decorating their pet's house. While everyone is decorating, the kids will get to pick out their pet (one by one). We wrap up with the adoption ceremony and certificate validation!

SoCo Social Studio
Every kid will leave with two finished projects (selected by the host at booking).
Friendship Bracelet Bar: Includes one metal adjustable bangle + beads & pipe cleaner/stretchy cord, and more to make whatever else they want... bracelets and beyond.
Mini Diamond Art Studio: Pick a theme, get a kit, and make a magnet. We have several different categories to choose from. Once the kiddo chooses the magnet they want to make, we will set them up with a correlated diamond kit to create their magnet.
Patch Bar: Design your look on a hat or fanny pack (we have a laminated draft template so they can plan it out before they commit). We also have different color fannies to pick from, or if they choose a hat, we have adult and kid-sized hats to include flat-billed and trucker hats.
Vinyl Disc: Decorate a plastic disc with stickers and acrylic markers to hang, display, or just keep.

Bloom — Fairy & Gnome Garden
Every kid builds their own little world inside a jar. They pick their rock base, choose their miniatures, and fill it with plants, flowers, trees, bark, and tiny animals. We add twinkle lights, hot glue the base to the lid, and they take home something that glows!
Build — Wooden Car & Racing
Paint it, sticker it, race it. Every kid decorates their own wooden car and a garage to go with it - the whole set goes home together. But before they leave, we hit the SoCo custom racetrack!

SoCo Science Labs
Two totally different science topics. You pick your lab when you book.
Vortex Lab — Tornado Bottles
We start with a slide deck and a paired worksheet (we want them to learn what's happening), then we head vortex to the bar. Every kid grabs their bottles, adds their water, picks a color pigment and other add-ins, and builds their own tornado in a bottle. They play with them for a while and then take the whole thing home. We also have public safety materials that can be taken home to help with family preparedness.
Forensics Lab — Fingerprints
Another slide deck and paired worksheet, but this one's about fingerprints. We start by learning what makes us unique, followed by some hands-on print lifts. We will end the project with a take-home 10-print card. Each station will be set up with fingerprinting material to help explore their own hands while learning some forensic science basics.

How the Party Flows
When kiddos arrive, we kick things off at the interactive game wall to burn some energy, then we settle in at the craft tables where SoCo hosts will walk everyone through decorating their projects. After the craft is complete, it's on to the photo booth, cake, and presents (if you want to do those on site).
Parent Setup
Party host families gain access to the space minutes prior to your event start time to set up any items you wish. You may bring your own decorations, food, drinks, cake, etc. We have a kitchenette space with a sink and mid-sized refrigerator that are available to you too. We also have various serving dishes available for use.
We will have a designated table/space for your food and presents. We will have you complete a questionnaire prior to your event to ensure we set up the space to meet your needs (yeah, we set up too).
Guest Arrival
As your guests arrive, kids can start to migrate to the interactive game wall while parents can make themselves comfortable in our parent seating area. If you choose to open gifts on site, we will keep those grouped on a table until after the craft activity.
Interactive Game Wall
Before crafting, kids get to enjoy the interactive game wall. This feature offers a variety of games (we will select one that is adjacent to your theme) that encourage movement and teamwork to burn off some wiggles before we sit down and make things.
Craft Time
Kids will take a seat at our craft tables, and SoCo hosts will guide them through the activity, providing support, help, and answers to questions. Parents are welcome to help their kids too if they want, but that is not required.
Photo Booth Fun
After crafting, kids and parents can take turns capturing memories in the digital photo booth. We will design a template for your event that highlights your kiddo's name and age. You will be able to text photos to yourself along with printing a physical 4x6 photo on site. Event hosts will get digital copies of all photos taken during their event after the event concludes.
Wrap-Up and Gift Bags
We will wrap up the event with cake/cupcakes and gift opening (if you want). Kids will get to take home their creations and grab a couple of stickers from our complementary SoCo Sticker Bar (because who doesn't love a fun sticker?)
SoCo will provide basic birthday paper plates and napkins for the kids at your event for food/cake needs.
Parent Breakdown (not the mental kind)
We ask that parents take all items out that they bring in. We will have trash receptacles on site for you to use when cleaning up. Trash bags will be placed by our back door, for us to take to the dumpster. We handle the major cleanup of the space.

SoCo Studio Practical Details
Our studio venue is designed with comfort and convenience in mind for both kids and adults. We want this to be a welcoming space where families come to celebrate without the stress that comes with an event done at home.
Parent Seating Area
A comfortable seating area allows parents to relax and socialize while keeping an eye on the party.
Capacity
Our base party package is $325 and includes up to 12 kids for 1.5 hours. You have the option to add on 3 more seats, for a total of up to 15 kids attending your event, and an additional 30 minutes to bring your event time to two hours. If you plan to open gifts on site, we recommend adding that buffer time.
Setup and Breakdown Time
We allocate 15 minutes before the party for setup and 10 minutes after for light cleanup. Our staff manages this to minimize disruption and to ensure we can turn for events following yours.
Base Price and Add-Ons
Our base price includes the craft package, game wall access, photo booth (24 physical prints), and kitchenette use. Add-ons include extra time extensions, additional craft materials for 3 seats, and if you have a professional photographer on site, we charge a small fee for that.

What’s Coming Soon
We are excited to announce upcoming upgrades to our pet homes and garages in the SoCo Build or Bloom package. These enhancements will include houses and garages made of wood instead of paper to add to the longevity of the project.
Did you know? SoCo has a 3D printer and a carbon laser. We are happy to make custom items for your parties should you need them. The possibilities are endless! Additional party favors, guest book board, personalized signs... maybe a custom craft event if you have an idea for a craft that isn't one of our base offerings.
